Adata 16 GB SDHC December 31, 2008 G. Chaderton (USA) Awesome. I love this card.Fast and stable. I use it in a camera as well as a camcorder and this baby performs. No complaints whatsoever. Good price, good product. I can't wait to get the 32GB when the price is right.
Slower than the DMV December 30, 2008 A. Katawazi (Pittsford, NY) If you just want a lot of room at an extreamly cheap price this is the way to go. If you actual want a card that you can use to record movies on your camera, forget it. This thing can only do about 58 seconds of video before it croaks out on my camera due to memory related issues. Spend a little extra and buy a decent card.
Case Failing After 4 Months December 30, 2008 Ideabot (Mountain View, CA) Plastic casing is under-designed. It's showing signs of wear stress after 4 months of repeated insertions. 2 other cards (other manufacturers) are used in rotation in a Pocket PC. A-Data is the only one showing stress. I'm moving it to another application where it doesn't have to be repeatedly inserted. I use it to move .AVI files from the PC to the PPC where I can watch multimedia at my convenience. Very cool technology.
SDHC 16GB almost Awesome... December 28, 2008 G. Vares (Hawaii) Almost awesome! Wouldn't work on HP laptop, 6 yrs old :( , BUT, worked awesome on my DEll PC. For some reason, my laptop couldn't read the 16 GB SD card, HP can read 8 GB flash cards and all plug in hard drives. I think the problem is the HC (High Capacity) chip...
Great, but size comes with a cost December 24, 2008 Bruce Butkus (NJ) This is a great product for my Mini 9, as it sits inside the case and doubles my storage. The size does come with a penalty. The drive is Very fast reading all types of files, but writing many small files has a limit in windows drivers that slows it considerably. It came formatted as FAT32, but i formatted it as NTFS to obtain the ability to copy files larger than 4gb, but this compounded the problem. Switched back to Fat32 and the write speeds are acceptable. Large file transfer (VOB files @~1gb per file) are Very fast, and would suggest if you are copying many small files (>10mb) to zip them first.
